The mill “Gašpina mlinica”

The Mill Gašpina mlinica is one of the few still standing preserved mills on the River Jadro. Its building dates back to the beginning of the 18th century and was first mentioned in documents in 1711. The construction complex consists of four single-story stone buildings with gable roofs covered with stone slabs. Over the centuries, this complex was extended and has seen various construction modifications, which can be seen on the facade in subsequently opened windows. The structure is oriented north-south, and the water flows through the ropes (carousels) from the east side, the free fall directed to the lower parts of mills, i.e. to spoons attached to mill spindles. Above the main entrance door, an antique tombstone was used for the lintel. Static stone parts of mills with stone mill wheels have been preserved inside the mill.
